“What at all does Kufuor and his Ashanti brothers want from Nana Addo, that they will not leave him alone and spare him the agony of disgrace they seem to be heaping on him”, the top NPP guru queried.
“It is a public secret and anybody in the NPP who has followed the conduct of ex-President Kufuor, particularly, through his utterances about issues concerning Nana Addo, knows for a fact, that the Ashanti group in the party has made up its mind to make the NPP lose again, even though some of them pretend to be working in his interest: It is because of this very reason that I have decided to take on Kufuor, and I will confront him anytime we meet at any of our party functions”, he grieved.
“Many of us supportive of Nana Addo in his bid to become leader of this country, did not believe reports carried out by some NDC papers including The Informer that I find appropriate to grant this interview; that Kufuor does not want Nana Addo to become President, but with critical assessment of all his comments on matters involving the party Flagbearer, and reports that there are moves underway by the Ashanti caucus in the party to get him replaced, pushing for an early congress, perfectly confirm why Kufuor has decided to resurrect this Wikileaks report on Nana Addo, during his interview with Adakabre and some of us will not forgive him for that”, the guru indicated.
“If indeed Kufuor is not wicked a person and hates Nana Addo why should he make those pronouncements on Adom FM when we all know he was just pretending to be defending the party’s Flagbearer with those lame analysis at the time discussions on the wikileaks was dying down naturally”, he inquired.
“Kufuor is wicked and hates Nana Addo, I repeat; because he did similar thing when he was asked by the press on a visit to the Castle months ago on invitation of President Mills, whether or not he supports the Flagbearer’s ‘all die be die” comment; and on this note, I am more than convinced that Kufuor wants the NPP to lose in 2012; so they, the Ashantis, like it’s been widely reported, can take over the reign of the party in 2016”, he added.
“How Intelligent is Kufuor than those of us including the National Chairman, Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey that have decided not to make our voices be heard on the allegations raised in the wikileaks, that he should be the one defending Nana Addo, when he knows in his heart that he was doing the Flagbearer in”; he stated further, saying, they will meet him boot for boot, if he dares go ahead with his unrefined attitude of destroying Akufo-Addo via his public utterances.
However, intelligence information reaching this paper as of press time indicates that, a party delegation to be led by the National Chairman later this week, will meet with ex-President Kufuor to prevail upon him not to comment publicly on issues concerning Akufo-Addo, since his comments always generate a lot of controversy in the media.
