The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Krowor constituency E.B Borketey aka Amoosha has stepped down over ill health.

Kasapa FM’s Maame Broni reveals that Mr. Borketey who suffered from a mild stroke and was responding to treatment was asked by the ruling party to submit a report indicating his fitness to campaign which he did.

But sources within the party indicated that his medical report was suspicious hence the party’s decision to form a medical enquiry team which was to verify the health status of Mr. Borketey.
But the candidate last weekend tendered in his resignation to contest on the party’s ticket to the national executives of the ruling NDC.

The National Organizer of the NDC Kofi Adams has indicated the party is poised to win the Krowor seat amidst the stepping down of the candidate over the weekend.

He noted it is possible the party will get a more viable and prominent replacement who will propagate the good works of the party and eventually win the seat.

According to him, the NDC has served the people of Krowor well and was optimistic it will translate into votes.
