The National Democratic Party(NDP) has dismissed a supposed video circulating on social media which captures the 2016 Presidential candidate of the party, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings commenting on the prevailing hardships in the country.

A statement issued by the party and signed by its Secretary General, Mohammed Frimpong said the general public should be wary of the mischief behind the circulation of the video and should disregard same as the said video is an old Presidential campaign material for 2016.

“The National Democratic Party would like to inform the public that this video was released on the 18th of July 2016. This video is categorically in reference to the economic hardships Ghanaians were subjected to under John Mahama’s government.”

There were difficult times under the erstwhile Mahama regime with issues of corruption and mismanagement of the public purse.

But political opponents say it’s not getting any better under this current administration.
