Businessman and presidential hopeful Ken Ohene Agyapong has called for a new era of disciplined and decisive leadership to move Ghana forward, arguing that only a results-driven and business-minded approach can rescue the nation’s struggling economy.

Speaking during his Unity Tour in the Volta Region, Agyapong compared the growing admiration Ghanaians have expressed for the leadership style in Burkina Faso, highlighting the need for similar firmness and discipline in Ghana’s governance.

“Ghanaians are always making reference to Burkina Faso because their leader is instilling discipline in his people. That tells us something — Ghana needs a disciplined leader. A businessman who can truly manage the economy with honesty and results,” he said.

He emphasized that Ghanaians are no longer interested in mere political talk but are yearning for a bold, vibrant, and truthful leader who will speak plainly and act decisively.

“When it’s yes, I’ll say yes. When it’s no, I’ll say no. That’s the kind of leader Ghanaians want. I’ve been bold to speak against the wrongs, and that’s why some at the top don’t like me. But I will always stand for the truth,” he declared.

Agyapong, known for his straightforwardness and entrepreneurial success, urged delegates and citizens not to be deceived by temporary handouts or political gimmicks, but to vote for a leader with a proven track record in business and job creation.

“I’m not tribalistic; I’m not sectional. I’m a businessman who invests where I believe in the people. Those who come with money today will give the same to another candidate tomorrow. That’s the deception holding us back,” he cautioned.

He concluded with a rallying call for Ghanaians to embrace a new model of leadership — one rooted in productivity, accountability, and economic empowerment.

“I’m coming with business, business, and more business. Let’s build a disciplined, productive, and prosperous Ghana together,” he affirmed, drawing applause from the delegates.

The Unity Tour, which has so far covered all five northern regions and parts of the Volta Region, continues to draw large crowds of party delegates and enthusiastic citizens who resonate with Ken Agyapong’s message of “From Importation to Production.”
