Juaso registration centres' Queues vanish on last day

Long queues seen at various registration centres at the start of the biometric voter registration in the Asante-Akim South Constituency has completely disappeared as the first phase of the registration, entered the final day.

Mr Isaac Afriyie, Registration Officer of the Juaso Presby JHS, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that all had so far been well with few applicants trickling in from time to time.

He said as at 0930 hours on Monday, they had registered 1,143 applicants and issued them with voter identification cards and another 750 has been registered at the Juaso Presby School centre.

Mr Charles Brefo, a Registration Officer of the Juaso SHS, said 899 applicants had successfully gone through the registration and picked their voter ID cards and that the main concern was a challenge form filled in respect to the age of an applicant.

At the Atwedie Presby Primary, Mr Amos Boadi, the Registration Officer, said more than 900 applicants had registered as of 1150 hours.**
