Ashantis Sidelined
As Akyems Take Over Akufo-Addo’s ‘Gov’t’

For all those doubting The Informer’s story that tension exists between the Ashantis and Akyems in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), must bow down their heads in shame.

A cabinet list prepared by the NPP’s flagbearer, Williams Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in the unlikely event of him becoming President of Ghana, as intercepted by The Informer, clearly shows Nana Akufo-Addo’s attempt to marginalize the Ashantis in the NPP, particularly, those very close to former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

For example, the exclusion of persons like Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, Isaac Osei, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (aka Napo), all close associates of ex-President John Kufuor, is a tacit indication that the Ashantis in the NPP has no place in Akufo-Addo’s government, in the unlikely event he becomes President of Mother Ghana.
Papa Owusu Ankomah, who is conspicuously missing on list, is not only punished by Akufo Addo as regards his close relationship with former President John Kufuor, but how he exposed the NPP flagbearer in his attempt to hoodwink Ghanaians with his free-SHS hoax.
