Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide has likened President Akufo-Addo commitment to fighting corruption as incomparable describing him as a hero in that respect.

Contrary to claims, the Akufo-Addo led government is worse in terms of fighting corruption in the history of Ghana, Pius Enam Hadzide disputed the claim by the minority taking swipes at previous regime.

“This is the government [NPP government] in the history of our country that is fighting corruption from the front”, according to him.

He explained investigations into corruption allegations levelled against appointees in the current administration has been the best ever unlike other regimes.

“This is the government in the history of our country that is fighting corruption unlike Mr. Mahama who was President himself and was confused when was confronted with issues of personal corruption”, Hon. Pious Enam Hadzide said.

The Deputy Minister of Information spoke on Joy FM’s Saturday analysis program Newsfile monitored by MyNewsGh.com over the weekend in the wake of several scandals that have rocked the government appointees being investigated.

Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe had earlier described as worrying, President Akufo-Addo’s posture towards allegations of corruption levelled against his appointees and officials in his government.

According to the founding member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), corruption in the current administration is the worst in the country’s history.

“The level of corruption under Akufo Addo’s government is the worst ever in the history of Ghana and if he doesn’t take care, there’ll be a civil unrest under his leadership just like the revolution that happened in the North of Africa,” the Statesman and politician told Atinka FM’s presenter, Saddick Adams.
