NPP Functionaries Engaged In Foreign Trips Contest

Functionaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are reported to be engaged in a fierce contest to outdo one another in foreign trips. Trade and Industry Minister, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku is topping the list and is expected to make his 30th foreign trip this week.

The ‘Ghanaian Democrat’ newspaper says information gathered from sources at the Trade and Industry Ministry indicate that Dr Apraku’s trips has surpassed that of President Kufuor. Others who are trailing Apraku are Finance Minister, Yaw Osafo Marfo; Attorney General, Nana Akuffo Addo; Economic Planning Minister, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom and Foreign Minister, Hackman Owusu Agyeman who though expected to be a constant traveller is said to be nowhere near Dr Apraku. The paper further states that most of Apraku’s visits are meant to boost his own business dealings and that of his party.
