Huni Valley Member of Parliament donates exercise books

Huni/Valley (W/R), Nov. 10, GNA - Mr Francis Adu-Blay Koffie, Member of Parliament for Huni-Valley has presented 1,000 exercise books to Huni-Valley Senior High School, with a call on the students to take their education seriously. He said education is the only means through, which the potentials and skills of individuals are developed for national development. Mr Koffie noted that the development of every nation could be facilitated if the citizenry, are guided, trained and instilled with the requisite aptitudes and knowledge that are essential for societal growth.

He therefore appealed to the students to avoid acts that could destroy their educational opportunities and pledged those who take their education seriously, would be supported to achieve their goals in life. In a related development, Mr Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, Prestea Huni-Valley District Chief Executive had presented a quantity of building materials to the Huni-Valley Senior High School. Mr Cudjoe said the items which include 10 packets of paints, 32 louver shutters, 320 louver blades, eight ceiling fans, and five bundles of mosquito nets were aimed at assisting the school to convert a two- unit classroom block into a dormitory for the newly admitted students. He said though the school was to benefit from a six- unit classroom block under an emergency programme announced by the government, efforts are being made to get the project started.
