A High Court in Tamale has ordered a rerun of the Kpandai parliamentary election, which is currently held by Matthew Nyindam of the New Patriotic Party, NPP.
According to multiple reports online, the petition was filed by National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal, who argued that the December 7, 2024, election was fraught with irregularities.

Court throws out NDC injunction, orders EC to re-collate Ablekuma North election results
In its ruling, the court presided over by Justice Plange held that non-compliance with electoral regulations materially affected the integrity of the vote.
The decision comes after the petitioner alleged that 41 out of the 152 polling stations recorded inconsistent or non-compliant results in the December 7, 2024, election.
The court has therefore ordered the Electoral Commission (EC), to conduct a rerun of the parliamentary election in the entire constituency.
