Hang me if I was ever rude to you and I’ll apologise – Anyidoho to Mahama

Former NDC Deputy General Secretary and aide to the late President, John Evans Atta Mills, Koku Anyidoho, has opened up on what he describes as vilifications against him by party members.

In a series of posts on Twitter, Mr Anyidohu intimated that he is loyal to the party and has never disrespected the former president.

He called out Mahama to ‘hang’ him and dared members of the party to come out with evidence to nail him if otherwise, adding that he is ready to apologise in that regard.

“The wicked propaganda against me that I was rude to His Excellency President John Mahama, is something I cannot contain anymore. The hate campaign against Koku Anyidoho must stop forthwith.

“I am actually respectfully asking John Mahama to come out and hang me if I ever was rude to him or disrespected him when he was vice president. I am prepared to apologise to His Excellency John Mahama if I was ever rude to him,” a tweet read.

“I have never disrespected His Excellency John Mahama in my life: Let anyone who has evidence that I have ever disrespected JM come out and prove me wrong. The vilification is too much,” he added.

Koku Anyidohu has recently been in the news for allegations of stemming disunity in the National Democratic Congress (NDC). There are reports of longstanding issues between him and the flagbearer.

Earlier, suspended Central Regional Chairman, Allotey Jacobs alleged that certain individuals within the party had plans of sabotaging the flagbearer as they did between Mr Mahama and Mr Anyidoho.

"the very people who created the problem between Koku Anyidoho (Ex-President Mills' special aide) and then Vice President John Mahama has now surrounded Mahama . . . I want them to know that we are aware of the agenda 2024", Allotey Jacobs noted on Accra-based Peace FM.
