God made Kwabena Agyapong Gen. Sec. – Sir John

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John, the immediate past Chief Scribe of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated that it is the blessing of God that made Kwabena Adjei Agyapong the General Secretary of the NPP.

He further pledged his unwavering support to the newly elected Chief Scribe to deliver victory for the NPP in the 2016 general elections.

“...God has blessed Kwabena Agyapong with the General Secretary position and I will support him to achieve his aim of giving NPP victory in 2016,” the out-spoken former General Secretary intimated.

He made these comments during a telephone interview on Adom FM after he failed to secure re-election at the party’s Tamale Conference over the weekend.

Kwabena Agyapong polled 2529 votes to emerge top in his group with Sir John having 1990 votes. Yaw Buabeng Asamoah had 179 votes and Capt. Nkrabeah Effah Dartey had 41 votes.

However, on what he would do next, Sir John revealed that he is in his hometown, Onoo in the Ashanti Region, seeking the face of God.

“…at the moment, I am in Onoo in my hometown praying for God’s direction in my next line of action with regards to my political career, because I am down but not out,” he insisted.
