Ghana needs a youthful President

The Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Nana Oboadie Opambour Boateng-Bonsu, has advised the youth to vote for a youthful President to effect the needed changes towards national development.

He therefore urged the youth who form majority of the electorate to vote for Mr. Hassan Ayariga, the Presidential Candidate of the PNC, who is young and share similar experiences like them, and could offer the leadership that would help provide the desired developmental change to meet their aspirations.

This was contained in a statement signed by Nana Boateng-Bonsu, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Koforidua.

He argued that, a vote for President John Evans Atta Mills or Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Presidential Candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) respectively, or people of their age group, would not bring the desired change in relation to development.

The statement said Ghanaians wanted to have potable water, electricity, good telephone network, good roads, accommodation, affordable healthcare and job opportunities, to enable them live happy lives.

It said the only guarantee to achieve these, is to vote for Mr. Ayariga, who is their kind, share in their aspirations and has the capacity to provide the leadership for the realization of their dreams.

Nana Boateng-Bonsu said the elderly candidates born around the same era, are influenced by the thinking of the era, taught by lecturers of that era and had similar experiences, therefore, were very likely in principle to think and behave similarly when given political power.**
