GFA gives to stakeholders

Accra, Mar 28, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has presented a total of 784 balls to the various constituent bodies under it jurisdiction as part of efforts to promote the game of football in the country.

Out of the 784 balls, 120 went to the Regional Football Association, (RFA's) with Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo Regions receiving 15 balls each, whilst Central, Northern, Volta, Western, Upper East and West Regions received ten balls each.

Mr Kwesi Nyantakyie, Chairman of the GFA said this at a presentation ceremony at its secretariat and urged the beneciaries to make good use of the balls.

Each of the sixteen Premier League Clubs also received five balls each with three each going to the 48 Division One League Clubs. Other beneficiaries such as the National Juvenile Council NJC) and Women's League Board had 100 and 150 pieces respectively. The Professional League Board (PLB), the Ghanaman School of Excellence, Prampram and Division One League Board (DOLB) also had 20, 50, and 30 balls respectively.

The six national teams, the Black Stars, Meteors, Satellites, Starlets and the Princess received 15 balls each. Representative of the each of the constituents received the balls and expressed appreciation to the GFA for the gesture.
