Former assemblyman endorses Ejisu-Juaben MP for re-election

Besease (Ash), April 13, GNA - Delegates slated for the election of New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ejisu-Juaben, have been asked to judge rightly by retaining the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi, for his good job. Speaking at a press conference at Besease on Wednesday, the former assembly member for the area, Mr Adams Boakye-Yiadom, said the MP's performance within the little over two years of his first four- year term had been remarkable.

He enumerated a number of projects Mr Owusu-Aduomi had initiated in the constituency to help bring progress to the people, which include the distribution of 2,970 bags of cement and 75 bundles of roofing sheets to support community self-help projects. Mr Boakye- Yiadom said the MP has supplied 765 electric bulbs, 114 sets of football jersey and 140 footballs to some communities. The MP is also supporting the education of 47 brilliant but needy students, Mr Boakye-Yiadom added.

His other strong point is his good personal relationship with his constituents, he said, adding that Mr Owusu-Aduomi would win over more floating voters for the NPP as it prepared for the battle to recapture political power in Election 2012. 13 April 11
