Former Vice-President Introduces Tamale North Candidate To Elders

The New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Tamale North constituency has been introduced to chiefs, religious leaders and other opinion leaders in the Tamale North constituency at a very impressive ceremony in Tamale by the Former Vice president of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
Speaking at the ceremony the former vice president called on party supporters to show utmost commitment and dedication to the cause of the NPP in other to secure a resounding victory for all NPP parliamentary candidates and Nana Akuffo Addo in next year’s election.
Alhaji Aliu Mahama explained that, the promises made by the NDC in the last elections that made the people of the Northern regions in particular to vote for them are yet to be fulfilled and has therefore urged the electorate to cast next year’s election by assessing their current situations of hopelessness and deep hardships in the country.
“We need peace and development to eradicate poverty and must therefore see poverty us our number one enemy rather than ourselves.” He added.
Alhaji Aliu Mahama used the occasion to call on the electorate in the Tamale North constituency to cast their votes for Mr. Akilu Sayibu saying “He is a young energetic young man who is so committed to helping his people and has therefore abandoned all the luxuries in the UK and has come down to Ghana to help his people after his studies there”
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Akilu Sayibu thanked the former vice president for making time to meet up with the chiefs and elders of the Tamale North constituency and added that, his call to the people to vote for him in next year’s election is and indication to the people that, he has the massive endorsement of the former vice president and other leading politicians across all political parties in Ghana.
According to Mr. Akilu Sayibu, the Youth in the constituency were unemployed, women have had their businesses collapsed and the Tamale North constituency has remained abandoned for the period the NDC has represented the constituency in particular saying that, “it was time to effect a positive change in Tamale North constituency by voting for him massively come 2012.
The Tamale North constituency |First Vice Chairman, Mr. Adam Yussif and the Council of elders of the NPP in the Tamale North constituency were in attendance. The NPP parliamentary candidate for the Tamale South constituency Mr. Shamsudeen Piigu was also in attendance as well as Mr. Salifu Sule a member of the Northern Region communications team of the NPP.
