Former IGP’s donation to NDC sparks controversy

Former Inspector General of Police, Mr. John Kudalor has sparked controversy on social and mainstream media with a donation to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region.

MyNewsGh.com gathered that the former police chief, made the donation of 100 plastic chairs to the Agona East branch of the NDC in the Central Region which has become a subject of serious debate.

Earlier, there were reports suggesting that Mr. John Kudalor was among aspirants eyeing the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC but checks MyNewsGh.com reveal that he is not among the parliamentary aspirants to have filed and gone through vetting at the close of nominations.

Meanwhile, the Constituency Chairman Francis Baidoo who received the chairs on behalf of the party commended the former IGP for the gesture and promised the items will be used for the intended purpose.

This comes at a time Executive Secretary of former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Superintendent Peter Lanchene Tuubo has retired voluntarily from the Police Service to contest as a parliamentary candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Wa West Constituency of the Upper West Region.

The tough-talking police officer recently opted to lay down his uniform and venture into politics and will be contesting with Hon Joseph Yiele Chireh who is the incumbent lawmaker for the area and a former Minister of Local Government.
