Eva Lokko Was To Partner Abu Sakara - Kwesi Pratt

Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr., has disclosed that the Convention People’s Party (CPP) had planned to select Madam Eva Lokko, former Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) as running mateto Abu Sakara, the party's flagbearer.

Madam Eva Lokko was on Wednesday confirmed as the running mate to Papa Kwesi Nduom, flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP).

An official statement signed by Kofi Asamoah-Siaw, National Secretary of the PPP said the decision was arrived at after a long and rigorous selection process. The statement said Madam Lokko’s character, background and experience were ground breaking in Ghanaian politics.

But in a shocking revelation on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Kwesi Pratt disclosed that plans were far advanced to make the former GBC Dir-Gen, the CPP’s 2012 Vice-Presidential candidate and wondered what might have occurred for her to have now become Dr Nduom’s running mate.

“CPP was negotiating with Madam Eva Lokko to be their running mate. She has been slated to become the running mate to Dr. Abu Sakara because she was a CPP member. So what happened for the stables to turn and for her to become the running mate for PPP? All of a sudden…she is named as Nduom's running mate,” Kwesi Pratt said.

He however wish Madam Eva Lokko well in her new political position.
