Eugene Boakye Antwi calls for unity at NPP 2025 Delegates Conference

Former Member of Parliament for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has called for unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as it prepares for the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to journalists at the NPP’s 2025 National Delegates Conference held at the University of Ghana Stadium on July 19, 2025, Boakye Antwi urged party members to put aside internal divisions and focus on the bigger goal of defeating the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“We have one common enemy, and it’s not each other. Victory 2028 begins with a united NPP today,” he stated.

He stressed the need for discipline, loyalty, and collective responsibility among members, noting that internal wrangling only weakens the party’s chances at the polls.

“Without unity, no amount of policy or political manoeuvring will be enough to guarantee victory in the next election cycle,” he added.

When asked whether he intends to contest for the position of General Secretary, Boakye Antwi responded, “When the time is up, I will surely contest.”

He said the party must modernise its operations, communication systems, and overall organisation to remain competitive.

“The party must embrace technology, transparency, and organisational efficiency. We must position the NPP not just as a ruling party, but as a governing institution,” he stated.
