Election Regions 19 Kumasi

Angry voters who cast their votes early this morning at the Anloga-Fante New Town in the Subin constituency besieged the Calvary Methodist Church Polling Station near the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to be allowed to re-vote. They alleged that the portion for their candidate had already been stamped with the Electoral Commission's validation stamp, a situation which will render the ballot invalid. One of them who pleaded anonymity told the GNA that they rushed to the station when they heard a radio station announcement, asking them to go back and vote again.

At the time GNA was leaving the scene, the Rapid Deployment Force of the Ghana Police had been called in to restore order. Other Stations visited under the Subin Constituency were; the Former Inter Revenue Service (IRS), New Apostolic Church, Amankwatia JHS One and Three where voting was going on smoothly except the Sports Stadium Polling Station which was a little bit distracted by an NDC party agent but calm was restored.
