Eastern Region NPP disassociates itself from Alan posters

The Eastern Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) has disassociated itself from the posters of Mr Kwadwo Alan Kyerematen, a leading member of the party, pasted at some vantage places in Koforidua.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Koforidua on Tuesday, Alhaji Omar Bodinga, regional first vice chairman of the NPP, said the party does not know anything about the posters and where they came from.

He said the development was an attempt to destroy the unity of the party by some disgruntled elements and called on party supporters not to be swayed by such propaganda.

Alhaji Bodinga said the secretariat had since removed all the posters in the town and urged all party executives in the various constituencies to remove any of such posters if found and arrest those behind them.

He cautioned that anybody found to be behind the act would be dealt with ruthlessly.

Alhaji Bodinga urged party supporters to remain resolute and have confidence in the leadership of the party while “battling” the election results at the Supreme Court.
