A leading contender in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer race and former Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has made a passionate appeal to party delegates not to let personal grievances with his campaign team members influence their votes in the upcoming primary.
In a video snippet shared on CitiTV’s X page on October 6, 2025, the former vice president is heard urging delegates to focus solely on his candidature.
"I want you to know that I am the one on the ballot paper; not any other person. Maybe there’s someone in my campaign team who has annoyed you. Please, don’t let their grievances affect me. I have nothing against you. Between me and you, there are no issues at all," Dr Bawumia stated.
He further stressed the personal benefit of his victory to them.
"When you vote for me, I will come and help you… So, please don’t let offenses of others affect my chances… thank you," he added.
