Alhaji Maulvi Noor Bin Salih, the Ameer of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana has called on political parties to disassociate themselves from all fringe groups seeking to destabilize the coming elections.

He said the formation of such terrorist groups by political parties currently in the country, poses a threat to the nation’s democracy.

Alhaji Bin Salih made this known when he addressed the 32nd annual National rally of Majlis Ansarullah of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

The theme for the two day conference is: “Religious extremism, a threat to global peace and nation building”

Alhaji Bin Salih said it is sad to observe that such party terrorist groups have invaded the air waves and are maligning personalities, adding that, it is better for the leaders of political parties to take the necessary steps to dismantle these intolerant groups before they cause an upheaval in the country.

He said some serial callers associated to these groups are beating the war drums on radio stations and other networks and everything should be done to disorganize their nefarious activities.

Alhaji Maulvi Bin Salih said the nation must progress economically, politically, socially and culturally to ensure infrastructural development and promote quality living of the people.

Alhaji Noor–Deen Saeed, President of the Ansarulaah, said the despicable acts of Boko Haram in Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroun are barbaric and need to be condemned.

He said “how can Islam sanction the killing of innocent persons as has become the trademark or hallmark of persons claiming to be exponents of Islam”.
