Delegates Desert Alan FOR aLIU

On the 22nd of September 2007, an agent of Alan Kyeremanteng had a tough time dealing with the delegates in the Tamale and was delayed for 3 days before been able to complete hi assignment.

Delegates were to be conveyed from all the three Northern regions to meet in Tamale and travel to Accra to add up to the few ones who were going to be with Alan Kyeremanteng on the day he is to pick his nomination. The journey was suppose to be on Friday and there was a delay till Saturday 22nd September 2007. At the time when their Bus was ready and waiting for them to start the journey around 11:00am at Hamdallah Guest House, they deserted it and went along with a floating that was going on in the name of Alhaji Aliu Mahama. This floating was part of a program to inaugurate a club call club A 600. This club was formed by some business men and women and some ardent supporters of the Ruling New Patriotic Party to support the Vice President's bid for the president. The inauguration was for all the three Northern region combined. All the constituencies in the three northern region including the deserters were in attendance. The program was so successful and for a minute this reporter who went there to cover it thought it was a national event with the President himself around. As a results, they refuse to leave the event venue till it came to an end. Then it came out that majority of them are refusing to go citing the fact that the main reason why they are going to Accra had already taking place and besides, it was late. But the agent explained that everything had been paid for and if they refuse it will be a blow to his master. Eventually they agreed to him and left late in the night. Mr. A.A. Nunno the Tamale North chairman who was also at the event said it's no new. When the President came to Tamale quiet recently, he invited all of them for talks and they all refuse to go so it's of no surprise those delegates acted that way, it's funny, he added. The delegate were from Wolensi, Bimbilla, Borle, Sorhla constituencies.
