Defend Yourself Not Ursula -NDC Activist Tells Akufo-Addo

In the wake of the startling revelation that Nana Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, was neck-deep in the business of paying judgment debt when he was Attorney-General; and has also been writing letters ordering payment of judgment debts even in opposition, one of the emerging “kids” within the ranks of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth-wing, has questioned Akufo-Addo’s loud silence since the cat was let out of the bag.
Peter Boama-Otokunor, the NDC Youth Activist, is questioning why Nana Akufo-Addo has kept a stony silence over the matter and is rather sending unconvincing emissaries, who are only worsening matters for the NPP flagbearer.
According to Mr. Otokunor, he recalls the speed with which Akufo-Addo jumped to the defence of Ursula Owusu, when she unwisely rained insults on the Ga people during the Biometric Registration Exercise, and wonders why the NPP Flagbearer was not moving with the same speed to defend himself.
He said, he recalls Akufo-Addo speaking with a lot of energy vis-à-vis Ursula’s issue, and wonders why the man that he claims to be, the NPP Flagbearer will not “be bold” enough to face the NDC squarely.
Speaking exclusively to The Informer, the NDC Youth Activist said he was really surprised that Akufo-Addo has suddenly become a “mumu” and has gone into hiding.
“Is it the case that he has no case to answer, or Ursula is so important to him that is why he was quick to defend her but not quick to defend himself?” Otokunor asked rhetorically.
Mr. Otokunor said, the NDC will continue to prove to the people of Ghana that Akufo-Addo is not fit to lead Ghana because he is not a man who can be trusted with the destiny of the nation.
“If Nana Addo can look us in the face and tell us that in the unlikely event he becomes President, he will never pay any judgment debt; only for us to wake up and realise that he was telling a lie because as an Attorney-General, he was already in the business of aiding foreign companies to claim gargantuan monies from the state, then he is not a trustworthy person”; Otokunor stressed.
“We have always been confident that we will jump over the Woyome hurdle and expose the hypocrisy of the NPP, and thank God that today, the whole world now knows the true identity of Akufo-Addo and the NPP”; Otokunor added.
According to the NDC Youth Activist, Nana Akufo-Addo has a lot of explanation to do, and cannot continue to run away and send Mustapha Hamid, Samuel Jinapor, Sammy Awuku and co, to make laughing stocks of themselves.
“If Akufo-Addo is a man, he should come out and face the issue squarely and stop hiding behind personalities who themselves have lots of questions to answer”; Otokunor challenged.
Otokunor has promised that the NDC will not allow the NPP to obfuscate the debate; and will ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo is exposed, for Ghanaians to know who the NPP flagbearer really is.
Mr. Akufo-Addo, the sinking flagbearer of the NPP, must be a very miserable man at this point in time.
For a person who thinks that he was born to rule Ghana, Akufo-Addo must be having more sleepless nights as his dream of becoming President of Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana, keeps fading into the deeper embers of the twilight of his political career.
Although it has always been obvious that majority of Ghanaians will NEVER make a gargantuan mistake to allow a character like Akufo-Addo to become President of this precious nation of ours, but recent happenings are most certainly burying the NPP flagbearer’s ever-fading dreams.
Nana Akufo-Addo has never been a man with weighty integrity but the recent revelation that Akufo-Addo was neck-deep in the business of authorising payment of judgment debts during his tenure as Attorney-General, has further destroyed the weightless integrity of the NPP flagbearer.
From all indications, Akufo-Addo is not going to have it easy at all convincing the electorate that he is a credible character in the light of the bombshell that has been dropped.
Indeed, Akufo-Addo is a man walking without an iota of integrity and is most certainly on his way to the graveyard of politics.
