A former Chief Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), Damoah Agyemang has taken a swipe at the Chairperson of the Commission over her recent changes of key staff position.

The position for Director of the Public Affairs Department at the EC has been declared vacant by the Commission, following the reshuffling of Christian Owusu Parry who has been acting as Director of Public Affairs of the Commission for sometime now. He’s been moved to the administration department

Another staff of the Public Affairs Department of the Commission, Sylvia Annor has also been moved to the Protocol Desk.

Interacting with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Damoah Agyemang said the current reshuffling smacks of administrative irresolution on the part of the EC Boss.

He expressed frustration and fury over the behaviour of the EC Chair, Madam Charlotte Osei, saying he sometimes gets sleepless nights over Osei’s style of managing the commission. He claimed the attitude of the EC Boss could put a strain on the effectiveness of the commission.

“She should know that she’s only a policy maker, and the real technocrats are the ones she is throwing them out. These are the people that will hep her succeed by all standards. It’s rather unfortunate this is happening but ideally what you require in an organization like that is the experience factor.

“Everybody in there have been assigned per his/her area of expertise and training. If you’re replacing them with entirely new personnel how sure are you in the experience and contribution the new person is bringing? Damoah queried.
