Continue to have faith in Mills' Administration - DCE

Manso-Abore (Ash), April 26, GNA - The Amansie West District Executive (DCE), Mr Charles Oti-Prempeh, has urged Ghanaians to continue to have fa= ith in the Mills' Administration as it worked hard to reduce poverty and make=

life comfortable for all.

He said there should be no reason for cynicism because the Governme= nt has within its relatively short period in office demonstrated that "it wa= s in for serious business to transform the nation."

Mr Oti-Prempeh said this at separate durbars during his tour of som= e communities in the district to explain government's policies and programm= es. It also provided the opportunity for him to learn at first hand the=

development challenges they faced.

Manso-Abore, Brofoyedu, Akontam, Adwuman, Manso-Krofofrom, Kobeda a= nd Kyenkyense were the communities he visited. The DCE said 50 boreholes would be sunk in the area this year to tackle the acute water problem they faced. Additionally, the assembly had bought 1,000 bags of cement and 50 bundles of roofing sheets for distribution to the communities in support of school projects. At Manso Abore, the chiefs and people appealed to the DCE to fast track work on the boreholes to solve the water problem in the town. The construction of classrooms, supply of building materials including cement and roofing sheets and connection to the national electricity grid=

topped the demands the people made on the DCE.
