Compare achievements of NDC/NPP before casting votes10

Menang (Ash), Nov 11, GNA - Mr Prince Yaw Boahen, First Vice-Chairman of the New Edubiase Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the electorate in the area to compare the achievements of the NDC and NPP before casting their votes in the December elections.

He said despite the constituency seat being currently held by the NDC, the NPP government had not discriminated in ensuring the fair distribution of social amenities in raising the standard of living of the people in the Adansi South District.

Addressing a NPP rally at Menang near New Edubiase in Ashanti, Mr Boahen said over eleven communities were now enjoying electricity whiles extension of power to five communities are in progress as against only six during the NDC administration in the constituency. He said Menang now enjoys potable water, electricity and the reshaping of the New Edubiase Junction-Menang feeder road has started to enhance easy transportation of goods and services. Mr Boahen called on the people to vote massively for the NPP this time round to enable it continue with its developmental agenda to benefit them.

Mr Anthony Appiah, the Constituency Secretary, debunked the tribal politics being campaigned by NDC in the area and said this does not augur well for good neighbourliness of the people. Mr Degraft Kyei-Baffour, the NPP parliamentary candidate, said his main priority when given the mandate will be in the area of education, where he would give scholarships to the needy but brilliant children to further their education to a higher level. He said he will ensure the establishment of a vocational/technical school in the constituency to train school drop outs in vocational trade.
