Churcher snubs NPP directive; campaigns at Cape Coast North

Despite attempts by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to thwart the efforts of the Electoral Commission (EC) from creating the 45 new constituencies, its MP aspirants are vigorously campaigning in those constituencies, Pravda news has gathered.

Posters of candidates are visible in the areas whiles others are seriously marketing themselves in various media networks.

The NPP has argued that there are serious flaws in the Constitutional Instrument (CI) 78 currently before Parliament.

In the Central region for instance, former MP for Cape Coast, Christine Churcher, is one of those flouting the party's silent directive, as she has waged a relentless campaign at the yet to be actualized Cape Coast North Constituency.

As a result, two new constituency offices have been outdoored in the constituency, the report added.

There are similar reports in the Western region. In the Wassa East for example, posters of the Chief Executive of Skyy Media Group, Wilson Arthur, has been spotted in several communities.

The story is however different in the Upper West Region, where only one additional constituency is expected to be created.
