CPP to pick Dede Amanor-Wilks as runningmate?

Information gathered by the RadioXYZonline.com indicates that the Convention People's Party (CPP) has settled on Madam Dede Amanor-Wilks as it's running mate for the December polls.

The flagbearer of the CPP, Abu Sakara would unveil her as his running mate at a Press Soiree at the Alisa Hotel at 3:30 pm.

Madam Dede Amanor-Wilks is CPP Parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma South. If she is confirmed as the runningmate the CPP would hold primaries in the constituency to elect a new candidate.

The issue of picking a running mate for the general elections was put on hold due some negotiations between the CPP and the PNC to allow a merger.

Sources close to Radio XYZ indicated the Professor Agyemang Badu Akosa was highly considered to partner Dr. Abu Sakara but Madam Amanor-Wilks was settled on after several days of deliberations.
