Reshuffle Reflects Presidents Address

The Press Secretary to the President, Mr Kwabena Agyapong has described the ministerial reshuffle by President as a fulfilment of the state of the nation’s address delivered early this year.
He told Peace fm on Friday that, it is the President’s sole prerogative, to determine when to change his ministers especially those whose services are very crucial to the smooth running of his government.
Mr Agyapong however denounced perceptions that, some cabinet ministers who have now been assigned to non-cabinet ministerial portfolios were a sign of demotion. He stated that, being a minister does not mean that one is technically knowledgeable in that field. He added that, a ministerial position is only a managerial aspect of one’s capabilities, which the president needs to push his policies.
The newly appointed Minister of Energy, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom has appealed to his colleague Ministers and the nation as a whole, cooperate with him to develop the energy sector, to boost the power-base for industrial development.
