Bolgatanga Central NPP Women's Wing inaugurated

Bolgatanga, Feb. 20. GNA - Ms Alima Musah, Women's Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, has urged members to work tirelessly to enable the party to capture more seats in the Region in 2008 general election. She was speaking during the inauguration of the Bolgatanga Constituency NPP Women's Wing in the Upper East regional capital at the weekend.

Citing Madam Hawa Yakubu, a leading member of the party as her mentor, Ms Alima stated that like Madam Hawa, she was also prepared to work hard for the party.

She appealed to members to eschew internal conflicts to enable it retain power in the next election.

The Women's Organiser also entreated party members to explain the good policies of the NPP government to the rank and file, saying it was through this that the party would be able to win more supporters and sympathisers.

Ms Alima urged party members to register for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) since it was the cheapest means of accessing health care.

The Bolgatanga Central Constituency NPP Chairman, Mr Akapire Anarachima, swore an eleven member executive into office to steer the affairs of the women's wing.

They are Ramatu Gumah, chairperson, Rebecca Atewuni, secretary, Francisca Atongtoya, assistant secretary, Alima Awure, treasurer, and Ayishetu Seidu, propaganda secretary.
