Bantama MP weeps

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, Kwabena Kokofu has expressed concern about the seeming bickering in the party.

He noted that the infighting in the NPP, if not addressed, could adversely affect the party in the next general elections.

Hon Kokofu insisted that the NPP needs total peace and unity to move forward.

According to the Bantama MP, Ghanaians were counting on the NPP to wrest power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2016 so as to alleviate their predicament.

In this regard, Hon. Kokofu, in an interview with Hello FM, called on members of the NPP to bury their differences in the interest of the NPP. The Bantama MP observed that the plight of Ghanaians had worsened in recent times.

He categorically attributed the woes of Ghanaians to the incompetence of the current Mahama-led government.

The NDC administration had established that it cannot govern the country from all indications, he said.

Hon. Kokofu stressed the need for the NPP to position itself properly to win the next general elections.

He wondered why the NPP members were attacking themselves instead of the unimpressive NDC government.

“Let’s stop attacking ourselves,” the Bantama MP told the NPP faithful, noting that the bickering in the party was affecting the morale of grassroots supporters.

Hon. Kokofu appealed to the NPP to start criticizing the incompetent NDC government to expose its weakness to the citizenry.

The 2016 elections are just around the corner so we should start working towards it, he stated.
