Atwima Mponua MP supports education in his constituency

Nyinahin (Ash), May 2, GNA- Mr Isaac Kwame Asiamah, Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua, has in the past three years supported some 150 brilliant but needy pupils and students at the basic, second-cycle and tertiary levels in his constituency to enhance their education. The MP in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nyinahin on Friday said, the amount involved was estimated at about GH¢5,800 and was sourced from his MP's Common Fund. He said education played an important role in every nation's development and declared his commitment to supporting its promotion for an accelerated growth of the nation.

On other development projects, Mr Asiamah said, he had also purchased quantities of bags of cement, roofing sheets and nails at the cost of about GH¢5,600 in support of some needy communities in his constituency. On Agriculture, he said he had so far spent GH¢1,080 in purchasing Wellington boots and bicycles to serve as incentive packages to boost the morale of farmers to enhance productivity.
