At Long Last Political Parties To Smoke Peace Pipe

A call have been placed on politicians and peace loving Ghanaians and especially to the media to continue to strive to nurture, grow and develop peace and unity in other to build a strong nation for the generations yet unborn to inherit, he said it will be shameful and a mark of irresponsibility on the part of present day generations if we fail to bequeath to the next generations a happier and united Ghana.
He has therefore cautioned the politicians and the media to desist from fueling tensions and creating unnecessary rivalry that has the potential to kill the peace and unity the nation is enjoying.
Nathaniel Ebo Nsarko, CEO of Pro-Image of Communications has told news men.
He said this when he outdoored a beautifully decorated trophy for the much publicized political tolerance soccer gala which is slated for the Accra Sports Stadium come this Sunday 13th may.
The political Tolerance soccer gala 2012 is a symbolic match between political parties on one hand against some selected amalgamated groups on the other hand meant to create tolerance awareness and the need to tolerate each other’s view irrespective of our divergent views and opinions.
The gala match has it as its major objective to douse the growing tension emanated from political activities.
Mr. Nsarko told the teeming journalist that the bubbles of tension that we see today have the potential to escalate to a point where it will be too difficult to quench, and hence the need for all and sundry to take active interest in ensuring that peace that is protected and consolidated.
Explaining further he advised politicians to avoid hate speech insults and statements that will spark ethnocentrism and also allow tolerance to take the lead in every discourse that will bring development to the nation.
So far all the political parties have acceded to a pact to play a role in ensuring that Ghana’s peace remains intact and unscathed.
Leading members of the two main political parties including their presidential candidates have agreed to participate in this epic event to send a signal to their supporters that Ghana’s peace and unity is the most significant ingredient for its quest for accelerated growth.
