Aspiring MP organise football match

Madina, Sept. 13, GNA - Alhaji Amadu Sorgho, an National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspiring Parliamentary candidate of the newly created Madina/Abokobi Constittuency on Sunday organized a friendly football match between the Madina Estate United football team and Fire Armour Professionals team at the Madina Fire Armour park at Madina.

The Fire Armour team beat their Madina Estate United counterparts 3-2 of the exciting encounter that attracted a large number of football enthusiasts within the Madina/Abokobi constituency.

Alhaji Amadu Sorgho later presented to the winning team, a cash prize of A2150,000.00 and two crates of soft drinks whiles the losers, the Madina Estate United received A2100,000.00 and two crates of soft drinks.

The aspiring parliamentary candidate earlier commissioned two goal posts valued at 250,000 cedis that he denoted to the Madina Fire Armour Park before the commencement of the match.

In an interview with the GNA Sports, Alhaji Sorgho said he Decided to organise the friendly match as a forum of uniting the youth of Madina through sporting activities and also to promote the game of football in the newly created Madina-Abokobi Constituency.

He promised to regular sporting activities for the youth of the constituency as a form of occupying them in recreational activities and to bring the people of different political inclinations to interact and plan about their development.
