Aseidu Nketia suffering from political menopause – Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, a.k.a Chairman Wontumi has said that the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has almost phased out in Ghanaian politics describing the former as reaching his menopause in politics.

His comments come on the back of the NDC`s boycotting of the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting with the Electoral Commission (EC) following the delayed notice of such meeting.

Speaking to Kasapa Fm`s Kweku Owusu Adjei, Wontumi said certain utterances and poor decisions taken by him, [Mr. Asiedu] is a testament to the fact that he [Asiedu Nketia] together with other members of the NDC are suffering from menopause and therefore lacks the capacity to function effectively.

“If the political party that you are in charge of, is taking such decisions, then what’s your work as a general secretary in not responding to the EC” he questioned.

He claimed this is the umpteenth time the NDC has snubbed very crucial meetings and events in an irresponsible manner.

“During our conference to elect new national leaders for our party, we sent a letter to the NDC to join us which they failed, Asiedu Nketia trying to explain why they didn’t show up said, he met the Vice president at a funeral and told him they are busy so they can't make it, knowing very well that administratively the vice president wasn’t the right person to have channeled that information to, rather the officials of the party” he fumed.

“The errors he keeps committing are not once or twice, that is why am saying the NDC, looking at people like Inusah Fuseini, Asiedu Nketia, Kofi Adams and some of their MPs in parliament now, I can say that they have all reached menopause and they can’t come back,” he added.
