Appoint Alhaji Fuseini as Deputy Minister - NDC group

Even before President John Dramani Mahama appoints somebody as the Northern Regional Minister, various interest groups have intensified their lobbying skills for their preferred candidates.

One of such groups is the National Democratic Congress youth group calling itself John and John Movement in Tamale.

The group is openly campaigning for the caretaker Gushegu District Chief Executive, Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini to be appointed as a Deputy Northern Regional Minister.

Addressing the media in Tamale, its President, Alhaji Abdul-Rashid said the caretaker Gushegu DCE’s unprecedented track record in the last four years has justified his capability of partnering whoever will be appointed as the next Regional Minister to move the area forward.

According to him, the group came to the conclusion after conducting a random survey to review the performance of all the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region.

He indicated that the John and John Movement was convinced that Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini was more than qualified to occupy the office of a Deputy Northern Regional Minister.

The group further justified its stand by making reference to Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini’s sterling performance in the area of maintaining law and order in Gushegu, which is noted to be one of the volatile areas in the northern region.

The John and John Movement therefore admonished President Mahama to reflect on their proposal and give Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini the nod.

“The Movement, the northern Region needs an affable and result oriented person who can deliver and bring to reality the benefits of the Better Ghana Agenda promised by the NDC government,” the group maintained.
