Am ready to serve if appointed as MCE - Rev. Larbie

Reverend Nii Adejetey Larbie the man who has been tipped for the position as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga South Assembly has outlined his vision.

According to him there is poor sanitation within the coastal areas and aside that there is no toilet facility.

‘’When you go to the beach; we don’t have a toilet there, we don’t have a dumping site so the sanitation there is very poor and as a result, the people get malaria and other diseases.’’

The candidate who represented the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) as parliamentary candidate said, they need drainage at Amanfrom and a school so the shift system is abolished.

‘’We need a good school because the students run on shift. We need to abolish the shift system. We need to make sure we get more good schools to abolish the shift system,’’ he stated.

He added there is the need to build a landing beach at the coastal areas. The establishment of the landing beach he added will improve the livelihoods of fisher folks.

The area he indicated also have farmers and as part of government’s effort to improve upon agriculture in the country, he will ensure that the assembly receives its fair share of that programme.

The constitution he explained tasks them, the local government authorities to plan, initiate, co-ordinate, manage and execute policies in respect of all matters affecting the people within their respective areas.

He also promised to exercise his duties as enshrined in the constitution when given the nod by the president. He was speaking in an interview Rainbow Radio’s Banahene.
