Courage Nobi, the Director of Communication for John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen's Youth Caucus and a hopeful flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made an appeal to party delegates, urging them to rally behind Alan Kyerematen's presidential bid.

He asserted that Alan is the sole candidate whose policies hold tangible benefits for party delegates, emphasizing his commitment to providing sustainable salary support for party workers.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based TV3 on August 23, 2023, he argued that Alan’s plan to institute a program that places party workers on a monthly salary should resonate with delegates.

"I want to make a bold statement, that of all the candidates, the only person who has boldly been able to put together a program for the party such that my big brother here Dennis, who is an employee of the government, gets paid every month separate from the polling station executives over there, such that the polling station executives will also have a salary to keep their sustenance as party workers, has been honorable Alan Kyeramaten, no other candidate," Nobi asserted during his statement.

He added, "Because he is trustworthy, he has no fear, he is not afraid that I want to do ABC for you.”

He also outlined a ten-point plan indicating how Alan Kyerematen will modernize the NPP if given the nod.

1. Alan will work to facilitate the construction of a new NPP Headquarters.

2. Alan will work with the party to rebuild and modernise regional offices for them also to become training and development centres to build future party leaders

3. Alan will work to retool and resource constituency offices to stay open at least 8 am to 6pm to be available for party members

4. Alan believes all party workers from polling station to national must receive compulsory monthly Salary (CMS) as times have changed and we must start rewarding the sacrifices people make.

5. This is do-able once a national dues paying system is implemented where every party member in Ghana pays dues and there is a top up from patrons whether in power or not.

6. Business support for all party officers so officers can save, invest and protect their families to attract more members to join the party

7. Alan to work with the party to facilitate the reorganization and resourcing with professional technical well trained party members to work in policy, research, communications, finance and fundraising and legal.

8. Facilitate the setting up of a 10 million Ghana cedi Welfare Support Fund (WSF) under which party members who need support during bereavements and injuries sustained serving the party are resourced.

9. Promoting all former executives of the party to be compulsory patrons so their experience and knowledge could be tapped into

10. 50% of all political appointments must come from the party's National Council and should be made up of former and serving party officers in good standing from polling station to national levels.

Alan will contest for the flagbearership slot along with nine other contenders including Assin Central Member of Parliament and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who are seen as his main challengers.

The NPP will slash the 10 candidates, who passed the vetting stage, down to five in a preliminary vote (set for today August 26, 2023) before the main contest is held in November 2023 to elect a successor to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as leader of the party for 2024.
