Akufo-Addo’s rented private jet costing Ghana $17000 per hour – NDC’s Abass Nurudeen alleges

Ashanti Regional Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nurudeen Abass has accused President Akufo Addo of being insensitive to the plight of Ghanaians as He flies in an expensive rented private jet amidst the current hardships in the country.

Speaking on Angel FM’s flagship program, Angel in the morning, the NDC communicator alleged that the president’s private jet cost $17000 dollars per hour which he describes as very insensitive of a ‘listening’ government.

“As we speak the listening President is in Japan, cruising in a rented private Jet, enjoying at the expense of the taxpayer” He said.

When quizzed by sit-in-host, Yaw Nimako on why he describes the President as a ‘dead goat’, Mr. Nurudeen said

“Bro Yaw, which listening president will abandon a presidential jet procured by the sweat and blood of already suffering Ghanaians for a rented private jet? All because he feels the procured jet do not have the kind of amenities he wants? This is a complete waste of taxpayers money” He added.

Earlier in June, the President was reported to have abandoned the presidential and hired a luxurious private jet for his trip to the Caribbean to ignite interest in the “Year of Return 2019.

The private jet, Airbus A318-11 elite belonging to K5 Aviation Gm BH of Germany is an 18-seater jet and it can take 18 people while the Presidential jet has a sitting capacity of 14.
