Akuffo-Addo sponsoring NPP's useless insults on Northerners - Joshua Akamba

The Deputy National Organizer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has blamed President Akuffo Addo for the persistent insults on Northerners by Stalwarts of the New Patriotic Party.

He made this comment in reaction to recent attacks on farmers in the North by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Hon William Agyapong Quaitoo.

Farmers in the country have recently suffered heavily from Army worms attacks on their farms, which has destroyed many farms especially in the Brong Ahafo, Ashanti and the Three Northern Regions.

Following this development, government announced that the Ministry of Agriculture will fight this cancer with a whopping ¢20 million but most farmers in the country are yet to see any pragmatic step taken by government in this regard.

It is at the back of this, that farmers in the North over the past weeks, called on government to come to their aid since they have suffered heavily from the Army worm attacks but Hon William Quaitoo, Deputy Minister of Agriculture in reaction these calls by the farmers said that he has lived in the North for 27 years and knows how Northerners can lie to deceive people. He also stressed that Northerners are very difficult people so government cannot compensate any of the farmers from the North.

Reacting to these comments by the Deputy Agric Minister, Joshua Hamidu Akamba said that the NPP under Akuffo Addo have demonstrated their hatred for Northerners and proven that they only need Northerners during elections.

He said the President has awarded all elements in the NPP who insults Northerners with Ministerial positions to urge others on.

Mr Akamba said he is not surprised at all that William Quaitoo will insult Northerners as liars and difficult people because Ursula Owusu, Osafo Marfo, and co who insulted Northerners have all been awarded by President Akuffo Addo.
