Akatsi North NPP celebrates Nana's victory

It was all joy when the Electoral Commission of Ghana declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as winner of last Saturday’s flag bearer polls of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Ave-Dakpa in Akatsi North Constituency.

Mr. Joseph Drafor, chairman of Akatsi North NPP Elections Committee, expressed delight about the way delegates comported themselves throughout the exercise and the level of professionalism exhibited by the EC and the police.

He asked supporters of the various candidates to bury their differences and re-group for the ultimate victory in 2016.

Akatsi North Constituency chairman Simon Salansa Doe thanked the delegates for voting Nana Akufo-Addo to lead the party again into the 2016 general elections.

He said he had no doubt that Nana Addo would win the 2016 polls with a wide margin. He praised Nana Addo and said Ghana needed him as president for massive development.

Nana Akufo-Addo was declared winner with 153 votes as against Mr. Alan Kyeremanten’s 61 votes and Francis Addai-Nimo’s 5 votes, of which 7 votes were rejected at last Saturday’s polls in the constituency.

The immediate past chairman of the constituency, Mr. Gabriel Ringo Awudi, told the Ghana News Agency, he would seriously support the executives to deliver victory for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP in 2016, adding that, Ghanaians are fed up with the incompetency of the Mahama administration.
