Ahanfo-Ano North NDC Elects Candidate

Anyinasuso (Ash), Dec.8, GNA- The Ahafo-Ano North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday elected Mr. David Addai Amankwaah, a 40-year-old tutor at Tepa Senior High School as the party's parliamentary Candidate for the 208 general elections at Anyinasuso near Tepa.

He polled 190 votes to beat his only contender, Mr. Emmanuel Antwi Barwuah, a 53-year-old educationist who polled 25 votes. The election, which was supervised by the District office of the Electoral Commission (EC) recorded nine invalid ballot papers out of 224 votes cast.

Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, General Secretary of the party, prior to the election entreated the delegates to embrace internal democracy which, he said, had come to stay in the party to ensure an incident free election.

Mr. Antwi Barwuah accepted the results of the election in good faith and pledged his support for Mr. Addai Amankwaah to ensure victory for the party in the constituency.
