Agona West and East NDC supports commend President Mills

Agona Swedru, Jan. 15, GNA - National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters in the Agona West Municipality and Agona East District of the Central Region have expressed their sincere thanks to President John Evans Atta Mills for dismissing the municipal and district chief executives. Mr Atta Yebaoh, Chairman of the Agona West Constituency Monitoring Team, said in an interview on Friday that the sacking of the Agona West MCE, Mr Jacob Felix Obeng-Forson and Mr John Oremus Arkoh, District Chief Executive was a timely intervention.

He said since the two years that the MCE assumed office most of the supporters had been disenchanted as a result of bad attitude towards party members. Mr Yeboah appealed to the President to appoint somebody who would manage and care for the party to enable them to recapture the Parliamentary seat in 2012 elections.

At Agona East District Mr Takyi-Nkrumah, Constituency Vice Chairman of the Party, told the press that the removal of Mr Arkoh had been a great relief to the supporters. According to him the dismissal of the DCE would make the majority of the supporters to rescind their decision to leave the party. Mr Ishaka Gambo, Constituency Youth Organizer said most youth in the area refused to take part in the activities of the NDC due to the strange behaviour of Mr Arkoh.
