Bawumia’s Anti-Workers Policy Of Scraping SSSS To Fund “Huhudious” Free SHS…

“Afghanistan” Karbo Fails

In Desperate Attempt To Do Damage-Control

Mr. Anthony Abayefa “Afghanistan” Karbo, the National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), doubling as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s chief spokesperson, has failed in his attempt to do damage-control vis-à-vis Bawumia’s policy of scraping the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) to fund Akufo-Addo’s “huhudious” free Senior High School (SHS) education policy.
Anthony “Afghanistan” Karbo, yesterday afternoon on Radio Gold, tried in vain to pull a veil over Bawumia’s anti-public sector workers’ SSSS.
Speaking on Radio Gold’s 2 O’clock news bulletin, the NPP National Youth Organiser made a mockery of himself, when unable to convince any average-minded Ghanaian that his party’s running-mate is not planning on implementing a policy that will impoverish the Ghanaian worker, who is now enjoying some relief under the watch of President John Evans Atta Mills.
Instead of staying on the core issue of convincing the listeners that Bawumia does not intend to scrap the SSSS, Mr. Karbo chooses to pour invectives on the newspaper that published the story.
All attempts by the newscaster to get Karbo to speak to the hard facts fell on deaf ears, as Karbo chose to focus his bile at the source of the story, rather than the veracity of it.
When asked how the NPP will fund their free SHS policy, Mr. Karbo somersaulted all over the airwaves like an elephant at the circus.
Of course, Nana Akufo-Addo himself, when recently performing abysmally on the BBC’s HardTalk programme, made a complete mockery of himself, when he was unable to say how he intends to fund his “huhudious” free SHS policy.
Readers will recall that in our last issue, The Informer put out a very credible story relating to Dr. Bawumia’s plan to scrap the SSSS, to enable the NPP attempt to fund their free SHS policy in the unlikely event they smuggle their way to power.
In the said story, Dr. Bawumia, who was dreaming of becoming the Head of the Economic Management Team, in the unlikely event he becomes the Vice President, has pledged to scrap the SSSS to fund the SHS.
According to The Informer’s very reliable insider source, the NPP Vice Presidential Candidate is hoping that the scraping of the SSSS will provide the funding that would be needed to start their unthinkable plan of free SHS education.
“Bawumia is of the considered opinion that the only way to save Nana Akufo-Addo from embarrassment as regards the source of funding for the free SHS policy is to scrap the SSSS”; the source said.
“Bawumia’s thinking is that, the NPP will be able to convince Ghanaians that it is better to give free education to up to SHS level, than put money in the pockets of parents”; the source added.
“If the youth are the future leaders of the country, then Dr. Bawumia thinks that they should get their free education as opposed to workers, who have already completed their education”; the source further relates.
The NPP, which has no plan for Ghana, is hoping to hoodwink parents into voting for the party, because, their kids will go to school free.
What the parents now know, is the fact that the NPP is planning on impoverishing workers in order to make doable its undoable free SHS policy.
“So they want to rob Peter to pay Paul, huh? So they want to impoverish the long-suffering worker in order to fund their policy? We will see where Bawumia will pass to become Vice President and Head of the Economic Management Team”; an angry parent challenged.
To all intents and purposes, the NPP National Youth Organiser, Mr. Anthony Abayefa “Afghanistan” Karbo, has only ended up making it manifestly clear, that the NPP has no plan to fund its free SHS hooey.
Indeed, Mr. Karbo only succeeded in deepening the belief that Dr. Bawumia is planning the scrapping of the SSSS if Ghanaians make a mistake and allow him to become the Head of the Economic Management Team.
