Adentan - Madina saga: Wontumi's aide jabs Alabi

NDC Flagbearer Hopeful, Prof. Joshua Alabi NDC Flagbearer Hopeful, Prof. Joshua Alabi

An aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Andy Owusu, has admonished National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s presidential hopeful, Professor Joshua Alabi to focus on seeking to lead his party rather than taking part of national discourse.

"I thought he could pay attention to his disorganised campaign than making any comment or seeking to call for the head of the Minister of Roads and Highways" he advised.

According to Mr. Andy Owusu, who spoke to journalists in Kumasi on the recent Medina -Adentan riot by residents and a call by the Professor Joshua Alabi calling the removal of Hon. Amoako Atta from office as Roads and Highways Minister, Mr. Andy Owusu therefore took swipe at the former Board chairman of SSNIT.

"We all know his records at SSNIT as a Board Chairman, when he supervised a regime of gross loot and incompetence. So, if Alabi had had some shame, he could have been mute on matters considering his unfortunate records which almost collapsed SSNIT", the young politician observed.

"Of all these incompetence and bad leadership, not even a moment did he thought of resigning or asking for the head of the CEO of SSNIT he worked with to loot the institution. So, it is shocking to hear Alabi calling for the roads and highways minister to be sacked over this Adenta riot"

"I simply can't understand why he could point fingers now, because there were a lot of fingers he could have pointed on the great loot, incompetence and neglect which occurred under the Mahama's led NDC government"

"If he can be honest to himself, he would admit that the current roads and highways minister is one of the finest ministers of state. So it becomes really disappointing to hear Alabi calling for his head over this impasse'.

"If he could not praise him for how better he has conducted himself at his office, he should not close his eyes at his good works, because, these are a lot he could praise the Minister for"

"I wish Alabi could note that, the current roads and highways minister unlike the others under the NDC is not inflating cost of contracts and he has exhibited himself in all manner of professionalism. He has attached dignity to the office and restored the lost image of the institution which occurred under the NDC".

"I think he's looking for cheap popularity", the spokesperson for Mr. Bernard Antwi Bosiako fumed.
