GPL Week 12 matches to be played today

The 2013/2014 Ghana Premier League enters Week 12 on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at eight league centers with the position of the leader of the log, Asante Kotoko, at stake.

The past two years’ champions will host city rivals, King Faisal Babes, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Both clubs will aim for the points with the away side hoping to better their goal difference in the league.

Kotoko, on the other hand, will seek to extend their lead though it has been cut down owing to recent unfavourable results.

The team seeking to supplant Asante Kotoko at the top is Hearts of Oak, who host Medeama SC at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Hearts are just one point behind the leaders and a win in the Central Region could make them lead the table for the first time in more than two years.

Results have begun to favour the West siders and they will also want to take advantage of the neutral ground to stay in the Top Four.

New Edubiase will host Amidaus Professionals while Inter Allies will see whether they can be third time lucky with a win as they host third-placed Ashanti Gold SC.

Sekondi Hasaacas, just like King Faisal, have minimum goal difference and will want to win at all cost in Sekondi as they host Liberty Professionals.

Bechem United’s impressive start to the season appears waning but a fixture with in-form Heart of Lions will test their mettle.

Former Ghana champions Aduana Stars will host Dwarfs at the Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa while Wa All Stars will host ex-champions Berekum Chelsea at the Wa Park to wrap up the mid-week fixtures.
