Multistix Face an Uphill Task Against NDK Financiers

Multistix will face their biggest test in the defense of their title on the final day of matches in the IPMC Hockey Senior League. The clash dubbed “battle of winners” will pitch the strength of NDK Financiers who have set their sights on winning the league title in addition to the GALA trophy the won by beating Multistix 4-0 during the commencement of the season. A draw this weekend for Multistix would see the defending champions in the Senior League being dethroned by NDK Financiers. Most eyes will be on the Financiers versus Multistix clash as they have developed one of the most competitive rivalries in Ghana hockey. Both teams have their strengths in midfield and attack and will draw on this advantage to carry the day and ultimately, the championship. Multistix are expected to have a hard time in Saturday’s game where they will have to win by at least three clear goals. Should Multistix find their form, they will surely cause the Financiers defense lots of headaches. Financiers on their part need not just rely on a draw to be crowned champions.

A-League leaders CEPS will seek to put the icing on their championship cake when they meet Golden Sticks in the final match of the day. CEPS have already lifted the trophy and can boast of being the most-formidable squad in the league. Golden Sticks are hoping to improve on their ‘not too’ impressive campaign this season with a good result to claim the second spot.

In other significant match, Exchequers meet Trustees in a match both teams cannot afford to lose as they eye a possible slip on the part of Golden Sticks which would put one of them in second place.
