This is the way we behave as a people. What Kwaku Baako is saying is true. GLOW owes Ghana over eleven million Ghana cedis in taxes but we were chasing Ibrahim Mahatma just because he is the brother of John Mahatma.People even swore to kill themselves (only God k knows when) if Ibrahim Mahatma was not jailed. It is a similar situation we are witnessing now calling for the head of Charlotte Osei. This country is in trouble. Since this son of a ceremonial president took over the reigns of government, we have been sitting on thorns. Imagine the travels that he does. He doesn't want his incompetence and inefficiency to be seen so he is always travelling for per diem.

He can never bend this case to suit him as he is aspiring to. It is obvious Charlotte Osei is a criminal and she has to be treated as such.

He was every bit as fair and balanced and sound in his analysis as he always has been. The issues are before the authorities, and I'm sure in the end, we will know who is right or wrong. Your accusations against Baako is totally unfounded, Sir. For the record, I think Charlotte was and still isn't the right person for the job. Nonetheless, we owe her our unbiased and fair treatment.

His deliberate omission of the names of the Petitioners in the complaint baited the EC chair to be emotional in her response to the complaint and this exposed her under belly. It turned out to Kweku's chargrin that the petition was after all meritorious and not " incompetent. Hahahaha

What you are missing, Peter Boasiako, in your piece like most mindless articles posted on ghanaweb is the fundamental question of whatever happened to oversight institutions in Ghana with operational review authority like the Audit Service of the 60's and 70's?
In each of the nations around the globe known for well organized, managed and functioning governments, civil institutions are effective and efficient because oversight agencies do conduct their oversight checks with due diligence without fear or favor. What is the excuse for the years of neglect by oversight and regulatory agencies including Ghana's parliament for the failure to audit the EC after years of funding appropriations? According to the majority leader in parliament, Kyei Mensa Bonsu, the EC has had it's share of problems going back many years prior to the arrival of Ms Charlotte Osei, a position echoed by Kennedy Agyapong. So tell me why would the deputies file their suspicious claim at this very time?
You and I and many others in Ghana, Peter Boasiako, do need to use our mental faculties employing logical processing, evaluative and analytical skills rather than our reliance on half baked synopsis that is the order of the day. Why will these deputies at EC file a claim at a time the EOCO court has recommended that a deputy proceed on leave due to a strong suspicion of embezzlement? Would those deputies have kept quiet just as long as they continued their embezzlement schemes along with presumed embezzlement schemes of Ms. Osei? You cannot be serious if you think the new sheriff in town, the NPP, can cure our national woes by assuming the posture that their embezzlement schemes, party favoritism, nepotism and tribal preferences are better than all the ills of the Mahama NDC administration. If you truly care about mother Ghana you do not have to worry about what Kwaku Baako or Kwesi Pratt and many of our TV and radio jocks spew on their bought and sold political shows but ask for public institutions like the Audit Services and the YEA to be staffed by professionals and not political hacks.
I will end on this parting shot to give you something to think about. Is the EC brouhaha more important in the scheme of things in Ghana when there is a failed attempt by the majority party, the NPP, led by a presumed finest legal mind Nana Akufo-Addo, to table a flawed bill on the the floor of Ghana's parliament? What does that say about our collective intelligence in Ghana? Does this open a view to the brain functioning mechanisms that can explain failures in Africa, or Ghana in particular, when our brothers, fathers and kinfolks seem to function productively in other civil societies even as we fail in Ghana under our own public administration practices?
